What To Expect
Discovery Parks Carnarvon gives dogs more than a token patch of grass. Selected cabins and powered sites are pet-friendly, and the park has its own off-leash dog park where pups can properly stretch their legs after a long day on the road.
The pet-friendly cabin options are limited, so it is worth calling the park before booking rather than assuming every cabin welcomes dogs. Campers have an easier option with shaded, grassed powered sites that are clearly marked pet-friendly.
There is plenty for the humans too, including a swimming pool, adventure playground, games room, barbecue areas and camp kitchen. It makes a handy Carnarvon stopover for travellers exploring the Coral Coast, particularly when an on-site off-leash area means the dog can burn off some road-trip energy without leaving the park.
