What To Expect
Located in Hazelmere, around 15 minutes from Perth Airport, Banksia Tourist Park offers a wide range of pet-friendly cabins, chalets and caravan sites for travellers visiting Perth with a dog.
The park has several designated pet-friendly accommodation options, ranging from simple budget cabins to self-contained studio cabins and larger family chalets. Depending on the category, accommodation may include a private bathroom, kitchenette or full kitchen, air conditioning, television and Wi-Fi. Guests need to book a room specifically labelled as pet-friendly, as dogs are not permitted in the park’s standard cabins and chalets.
One small lap dog is permitted per cabin, chalet or site. Larger dogs may be considered with prior approval from management. A nightly pet fee applies, and dogs cannot be left unattended anywhere in the park. Outside the accommodation, dogs must remain on a lead and are not permitted inside shared facilities such as the camp kitchen, recreation room, amenities or laundry.
There is an on-lead dog exercise area among the gum trees, while Greenslopes Dog Park is located nearby for off-leash exercise. Other park facilities include a swimming pool, café-style camp kitchen, camper’s lounge, recreation room, playground, barbecues and guest laundries.
Its location near Perth Airport, the Swan Valley and the Perth Hills makes it a practical option for overnight stays, longer visits or travellers beginning and ending a Western Australian road trip.
