What To Expect

Located around 20 minutes from Broome, Broome’s Gateway is a relaxed, nature-based caravan park designed with pet-friendly travellers in mind.

The park operates seasonally, generally opening during Broome’s dry season. For 2026, it is open from 1 May to 15 September, so travellers should check current dates before planning their stay.

Dogs are welcome on the park’s spacious unpowered caravan and camping sites, including sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, motorhomes and large rigs. Many sites have water connections and drive-through access, although the park is solar-powered and does not offer powered sites.

One of the highlights for dogs is the large, fenced and grassed off-leash area, where they can stretch their legs under their owner’s supervision. Friendly pets of all sizes are welcome, subject to the park’s pet policy.

Other facilities include modern bathrooms and toilets, laundries, free barbecues, a wash-down area and a central communal fire pit. Generators may be used between 8am and 8pm.

Dogs must remain on a lead outside the designated dog run, must not enter the amenities buildings and cannot chase the wildlife found around the park.
