What To Expect
Ovolo Brisbane doesn't do half-measures with its "V.I.Pooch" package — think a stainless steel food and water bowl set from frank green, human-grade fresh food packs and gourmet baked treats from The Nosh Project, premium grain-free kibble from Petzyo, a nutritional food topper and take-home poo bags from Petz Park, plus an orthopedic memory foam bed and a tennis ball (also yours to keep) from Dog Friendly Co. It's less a pet policy, more a full amenity kit.
The package covers one dog by default, with a second allowed by arrangement (max two, plus a $120 surcharge for the extra pooch) — confirm with the hotel ahead of arrival either way. Dogs are welcome of any size, need to be leashed in public areas and never left alone in the room, and are off-limits in the gym, pool and food-service areas (though there's always a space to eat with your dog nearby).
Set right in the middle of Fortitude Valley's live-music-and-laneway-bar scene, it's an easy base for a dog-friendly weekend that isn't just about the room — New Farm's cafés and the Brisbane River are both a short walk away.
