What To Expect
Roughly an hour north of Brisbane, Beachmere Off-Leash Dog Beach is a peaceful, dog-friendly coastal spot with everything you need for a relaxed outing – walking tracks, tidal pools, open space to run, and even a dog wash station for post-play clean-ups.
The official off-leash area begins at the southern end of Biggs Avenue, running toward the Caboolture River mouth. It covers around 13 hectares at low tide, with signed zones indicating where dogs are welcome. Some areas are on-leash only, and others (especially mangrove and conservation areas) are completely off-limits to dogs, so be sure to follow the signage carefully.
Facilities include a small, fully fenced dog park next to the car park, shaded seating, toilets, a drinking fountain with a dog bowl, and a dog wash hose with a timer. The beach itself is mostly calm, with shallow tidal pools perfect for a splash – though locals do recommend wearing water shoes due to occasional stonefish sightings.
