What To Expect
Mentone Dog Beach is a much-loved spot for dog owners in Melbourne’s southeast. With clean water, wide sandy stretches, and scenic views across Port Phillip Bay, it’s ideal for pups who love to swim, sniff, and socialise.
During the off-leash season, the dog beach can extend as far as Mordialloc, giving you and your pup plenty of room to roam. Outside of off-leash hours, dogs are still welcome on-lead, making it a versatile option for a beach walk any time of year.
Access to the beach is via a staircase, but there’s also a ramp a little further along for easier access with strollers or less mobile pups. Facilities nearby include showers, toilets, the Bay Trail for walking, and picnic seating.
