What To Expect
Just 20–30 minutes north of Brisbane’s CBD, Nudgee Beach Dog Park is a fun and versatile spot for dogs who love both land and water. Set beside the wetlands near Tuckeroo Park, this dog-friendly area includes two fenced zones, a large open off-leash space by the water, and a well-equipped obstacle course for some extra fun after a splash.
Dogs can swim in the tidal shallows (just keep an eye on the tides), then dry off and take on the agility equipment in the park. There’s usually free parking nearby, and on weekends you might spot a mobile dog wash or coffee van parked up.
It’s a peaceful, nature-rich area, but do keep your pup within the designated dog zones - nearby mangrove bird hides are strictly off-limits (and rangers do check). Also note there are no public toilets immediately next to the dog park; the closest ones are over at the main beach area.
