What To Expect
Port Melbourne Dog Beach is a much-loved off-leash spot just minutes from the city, with views of the port and plenty of space for zoomies and splashing. The official off-leash area stretches between the Port Melbourne Yacht Club and Lagoon Pier, making it easy to find and well-signposted.
From April to October, dogs are allowed off-leash at any time. But from 1 November to 31 March, access is limited to 7:30 am–10 am only, and only in the designated zone (between the Yacht Club and Station Pier). Dogs aren’t allowed on the sand outside these times or locations, so always check signage before you go.
