What To Expect
A bit of a drive from the Brisbane CBD (about 1.5 hours), but absolutely worth the trip – the dog-friendly section of Red Beach on Bribie Island is a long, sandy stretch perfect for off-leash beach walks and ocean dips. With views across to Moreton Island, it’s a stunning spot to stretch your legs (and paws) and soak up the coastal vibes.
The beach is clean and natural, with driftwood along the treeline and plenty of local birdlife to spot. Not all areas of the beach are off-leash, so be sure to follow the signs – some sections are on-leash only, and others are completely dog-prohibited due to environmental protections.
There’s no fencing, and not much in the way of facilities – so be sure to bring your own water, bags, and shade. And don't forget to check the tide times before you go – during high tide, you may end up wading through water on the way back.
Perfect for a nature-filled beach adventure with your dog by your side.
