Why Dogs Love This Stay

What To Expect

Litchfield Tourist Park has a dedicated pet-friendly tiny house called The Doghouse, where dogs are welcome inside rather than being relegated to the verandah. It has a queen bedroom, separate lounge, private bathroom and air conditioning in both rooms, making it a much more comfortable option than roughing it in the Top End heat.

Outside, there is an enclosed verandah with a barbecue and a gated 900mm fence to help keep pets contained. Dogs cannot enter Litchfield National Park, but the park offers a particularly useful workaround: staff can check in on pets every few hours while guests are out exploring.

A strong choice for travellers who want to visit Litchfield without leaving the dog behind entirely, especially when indoor access and a little help during national park day trips make all the difference.
