The Best Dog-Friendly Cafes In Sydney

Puppuccino anyone? One of the best shifts we’ve seen in the Sydney food scene as of late is the warm welcome to our fur babies by dog-friendly cafes.

We know it’s often not easy in Australia with the strong regulations around Food Standards. Based on the State Food Act, live animals are not permitted in areas where food is handled (assistance animals excluded). This means that it’s up to the respective business owner, whether they decide to allow pet dogs in their outdoor dining areas.

That said, luckily many of the Sydney business owners not just allow dogs – they champion them by providing inclusive spaces for our fur babies. They provide cozy spots in the shade with access to freshwater, and some go all the way with special menu items for dogs such as puppuccinos.

For us dog owners, there’s nothing better than knowing we can bring our dog along to a brunch date or a coffee. It’s no fun having to leave our dog home alone, so let’s explore some of the many great dog-friendly cafes in Sydney!
