The Top Five Places To Take Your Dog In Subiaco

We have a cluster of urban villages surrounding the Perth CBD, and one of them is Subiaco, locally known as ‘Subi’.

With plenty of cafes, boutiques and bars, Subi is one of Perth’s most walkable neighbourhoods.

It’s vibrant but not overwhelming, with lots of beautiful parks and gardens, and super easy access to the city.

Overall, Subiaco is a great dog-friendly neighbourhood, with most cafes providing water bowls for our furry friends.

If you’re after some inspiration, keep reading to find out more about our Top Five Places to take your Dog in Subiaco.

1. Go for a walk around the Subiaco Common

The Subiaco Common is a lovely place to take your dog for an on the lead walk around the lake. With a stream that runs through and lots of trees providing shade, it’s a fantastic park for hot summer days. There is even an off the lead dog exercise area at the oval section, so you can let your pup run freely for a bit as well if you want to.

2. Have a coffee at The Little Pantry

Right by the border to Shenton Park on Nicholson Road is one of our favourite dog-friendly cafes, the Little Pantry. They don’t just have great brunch, but also a big outside courtyard that’s dog-friendly so that you and your pooch can enjoy the sunshine together.

3. Explore Kings Park

Did you know that dogs are allowed in most areas of Kings Park, provided that they are on a leash? Let’s face it, we always say we should go there more often, so what’s a better excuse than taking our pup on one of the many great walks there?

4. Shop at Mog & Bone

If you’re after top quality, modern and fashionable pet wear, bedding and accessories, look no further than Mog & Bone. Taking into consideration that they sell treats too, it’s a fantastic place to spoil your pooch when you’re around Subiaco!

5. Have a drink at Refuge Small Bar

The Refuge Small Bar is a super cool little bar with a great selection of fresh rotating craft beers as well as fantastic burger and beer lunch specials. Add friendly staff, a great atmosphere, and a dog-friendly attitude, and you have the perfect spot to go to, no matter what day of the week (except for Sunday, that’s when they’re closed).
